    Art for the greater good...

    Media_httpartsbyjphot_rgmfi
People always say "pro bono" when talking about doing something for free. But the greater meaning is doing something for "greater" good. And for me that can not only mean for everyone around you, but it also can affect you in the longrun. I guess that is why I have wanted to join with artlovemagic, a Dallas organization that ties the community with live performances, artistic experiences and just sheer interaction with artists to create and share ideas and expressions. It's more than a mouthful to really explain it. You kind of have to be there, experience it. And I will be tomorrow.

I am setting up a little space where people can hang out, grab some fun props and let me take photos of them free of charge. I hope to learn more about the people and world around me and at the same time I hope to do the same for them -- learn more about me, what I do and hopefully get more opportunites to share my passion.

The photos I've included are from one of the artlovemagic events a few weeks back.

So, if you are local I hope to see you. And if not, you can still see all my goings on here whenever you want. Just keep dropping by. Oh, and the woman featured in these two above photos is my cousin. She is an artist and we grew up never fearing our need to express ourselves. And now, both 30 years old, we are not stopping anytime soon.

Y'all need to come set up down on the farm some time! Maybe in November before it gets icky and cold out? I think it would be awesome for everyone! Follow your dreams, your passions - and do what you love for a living - you'll not feel like you are working.
